Platteville’s Chinese New Year Festival

Happy Chinese New Year!

As you see, me and several of my awesome residents attended the Chinese New Year’s festival on campus.

We watched a lot of performances, including a lion dance, a water dance, and a martial arts demonstration.

The performances were elegant and graceful. And really loud. The lion dance had traditional lion costumes, though they looked like dragons. The dance was cool, but loud. Which is a pretty accurate description of the Chinese (like me).

The food at the end was pretty nice. They had popcorn and cookies and sesame balls. I wish they had eggrolls though. Those are the best.

If you think the pictures are cool, make sure to go next year. In person is better. 😀
